Lloyd’s Non-Marine Under 30’s Group: Bermuda and U.S. Study Tour
For many years Lloyd's of London has been a strong supporter of their members’ development through study and experience in the World-Wide insurance market. For over 30 years Lloyd's has encouraged its younger members to experience exposure to the US market via a Study Tour which runs every two years. This trip is designed to allow 30 or so members to meet with insurance markets, US law firms, clients and various other companies that have exposure to Lloyd's of London. Another important role of the Study Tour is to allow younger members of Lloyd's to meet peers from other classes of business that they might not ordinarily interact with in the London working environment. The Study Tour rotates every two years from the West Coast to the Mid-West and then to the East Coast taking in a variety of cities along the way including, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle, Chicago, New Orleans, Houston, Miami, Bermuda and New York. This year the tour will visit Bermuda, New York, Boston and Miami. This year the tour is running from 3rd May until 16th May 2009 and is being led by Steve Hoes (Miller Insurance) and Richard Shreeve (Price Forbes) both of whom attended the 2007 Mid-West tour. Meetings have been arranged with both the Bermuda and the New York under 40s groups in respective cities.
